Word to the … WebbTo remove the shift lever you may need to push the pin (s) back a little. Insert a thin blade between the tip of the pin and the base of the slot and tap it in to wedge the pin back just a bit. The slot is not as deep nearer the bottom of the ball, so the pins don't need to be retracted very far to allow the hand lever to lift out.

Webb4 maj 2013 · The true fix is to replace the shift lever and/or sliders as necessary, or repair them by welding them back up and grinding or machining back into tolerance. In the mean time, leave the spring and detent...and whatever that "extra" part is, out. The absolute best fix is to have your engine balanced to within 1/10 gram.
